The Body does all the work. Yes...in soccer there is no stick, bat, or racquet. That means the body must be in optimum shape to allow the best outcome with the ball. The beauty of soccer is that you can play no matter your body type. Even if 11v11 soccer may be too much for you at this moment you can still play futsal or indoor soccer. Futsal is great because it demands technical over physical prowess. I use to play futsal with veterans who could not run 30 meters but they could move, hide, and shoot the ball in marvelous fashion. So it's all about being comfortable in your own skin and just doing versus hoping. Just get out there and play. Playing is the best way to be the best version of yourself. Your body will calibrate overtime by just playing. Your body will tell you what you need to get better.
Now that you know about the 5 pillars of player formation let's get to improving them! This blog is all about tips and exercises to further enhance biomechanics, technical, cognitive, soccer IQ, and soccer EQ. Enjoy!
